The Central Carolina Community Foundation has named ParentingPartners as the recipient of the 2007 David W. Robinson Catalyst Award. As a recipient of the award, ParentingPartners received a $2,800 award to support its vision to protect children from child abuse and neglect while preserving families.

The Robinson Catalyst Award is presented annually to an organization in the Midlands that has identifieid and responded effectively to a significant contemporary area of concern, mobilizing resources in addition to their own to build and assist the community. The criteria for the award correspond with the Community Foundation's belief that vision, innovation, collaboration and cooperation aer necessary ingredients to improve the communities where we live and work.

David W. Robinson was a leader, activist, humanitarian and philanthropist in the Midlands for seven decades. Through the Community Foundation, David's wife, Susan, established the award in his honor following his death in 1989. The principles that the award represents are those with which David Robinson lived.
